PUBLIC NOTICE IN THE PROCEDURE FOR ISSUANCE OF LICENSE FOR INTERNATIONAL ELECTRICITY TRADING ACTIVITY Print


GEN-I d.o.o, Company for Electricity Trading and Sales, Sarajevo, filed with the State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC) the application for issuance of the license for international trade in electricity. The applicant is a holder of the license for performance of the international electricity trading activity which is valid until 28 February 2020.

The Company was entered into the Court Register of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo under number OPU 1106/08 of 8 May 2008. The founder of the Company is GEN-I trgovanje in prodaja električne energije d.o.o., Vrbina br. 17, 8270 Krško, Slovenija.

The licence applicant is obligated to provide evidence of fulfilling all criteria and standards for the issuance of the licence. The application has to verify technical, legal and financial capacities of the applicant to fulfil all the criteria, conditions and standards as prescribed by the Law on Transmission of Electric Power, Regulator and System Operator of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Licensing Rule. These criteria are conducive to the creation of conditions for unlimited and free trade and continued electricity supply in accordance with the defined quality standard to the benefit of BiH citizens, and the creation of the electricity market. SERC is free to include in the licence conditions the requirements reflecting the relevant acquis of the European Union and contributing to the objectives of laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as rules and regulations of SERC.

Any person interested in acquiring intervener status may file a written request with SERC no later than 17 December 2020. The intervener status may be granted to a person who proves a direct interest in the procedure for issuance of the licence, which differs from the general public interest for issuance of the licence. The role and responsibilities of interveners in the procedure for issuance of licences are defined in Article 11 of the Licensing Rule.
