OF RULES ON SUPPLY OF CUSTOMERS IN BRČKO DISTRICT BIH WITH ELECTRICITY

In line with its obligations and powers to create conditions for unlimited and free trade and continued electricity supply and enable the liberalization of the electricity market in Bosnia and Herzegovina, governed by international practice and the relevant directives of the European Union, empowered by law to act in the retail electricity market of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a regulatory authority, at the session held on 12 September 2013, the State Electricity Regulatory Commission defined

Draft rules

on supply of customers in Brčko District of BiH with electricity

The Rules, the text of which shall be given to the public for review and opinion, shall replace the existing Decision on supply of customers in Brčko District BiH with electricity. The aim of the Rules is the development and functioning of the electricity market in Brčko District of BiH within a single electricity market in BiH. The Rules regulate the right of the customer to a free choice and supplier switching in a more complete manner, that is, procedures protecting the customer in cases when the supplier stops the electricity supply as well as the rights of the customer within the public service system.

NOTICE ON GENERAL PUBLIC HEARING

The State Electricity Regulatory Commission informs all interested parties that Draft rules on supply of customers in Brčko District BiH with electricity will be made available to the public with the aim to collect suggestions, comments and opinions of interested persons that may be conducive to the improvement of the text of this document.

The draft document may be obtained at the SERC seat free of charge, or taken over in the electronic form from the web site (www.derk.ba).

Verbal and written comment may also be provided at the general public hearing which will be held

on Monday 30 September 2013 in Brčko at the training hall of the Finance Directorate of Brčko District BiH, commencing at 12:00 hrs.

The SERC will also consider all written comments submitted to the SERC address no later than 3 October 2013.
