Pursuant to Article 4.7. of the Law on Transmission of Electric Power, Regulator and System Operator of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official Gazette of BIH, 7/02, 13/03, 76/09 and 1/11) and Article 14 of the Licensing Rule – Consolidated Version (Official Gazette of BIH, 63/16), the State Electricity Regulatory Commission issues a NOTICE ON PUBLIC HEARING
The State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC) informs all interested parties that as of Thursday, 23 April 2026, upon the application of the Independent System Operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter: NOS BIH), the draft Decision for performance of activities of an independent system operator will be made available to the public.
NOS BIH was entered into the Register of legal persons in line with a decision of the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a non-profitable entity. It holds a license for performance of activities of an independent system operator expiring on 30 June 2026.
The activities of NOS BIH include the transmission system control in order to ensure reliability, management of the assets and devices in the main control centre, managing the balancing market and provision of the system service, provision of ancillary services, development and implementation of the reliability standards, development and administration of rules governing the transmission system usage, development and implementation of the market rules which include the provisions related to the system and ancillary services in the transmission system and any other activity in accordance with the Law Establishing an Independent System Operator for the Transmission System in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official Gazette of BIH, 35/04).
Interested persons may obtain the prepared Draft at the SERC seat free of charge or take it over in the electronic form from the web site www.derk.ba.
Verbal and written comments may be presented at the public hearing, which will take place at the seat of the State Electricity Regulatory Commission in Tuzla, Đorđa Mihajlovića 4/II, on Tuesday, 5 May 2026 at 12:00 hrs.
