The Connection Rules („Official Gazette of BiH“, No. 95/10 and 79/10) prescribe the procedures for connection of new generators´ or customers´ facilities to the transmission network at 400, 220 and 110 kV voltage level, connection of facilities to 35, 20, 10 and 6 kV medium voltage level at 110/x kV substations of the Transmission Company, as well as connection of the existing facilities in case of an increase in granted capacity, upgrade or reconstruction of facilities.

In accordance with its competences, SERC has been actively involved in finding a solution to the aforementioned issues and through its activities it has been making an effort to contribute to the faster establishment of the necessary framework enabling the connection of the first wind power plants to the power system in BiH on one hand, and taking into account the existing technical limitations of the system, on the other. Results and recommendation of the Study “Analysis of integration of wind power plants into the power system and market rules” are being used in these activities. Draft Rules on Amendments to the Connection Rules have been prepared in this context.

Interested persons may obtain the prepared draft at the SERC seat free of charge, or take it over in electronic form from the web site www.derk.ba.
