NOTICE ON PUBLIC HEARING IN THE PROCEDURE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND ISSUANCE OF RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE SERC Print

Following the relevant amendments to the Law in 2009 and at the end of 2010 the jurisdiction of the State Electricity Regulatory Commission was expanded to include the activities of generation, distribution and supply of customers of electric power in the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In exercising these powers, with a view to solicit suggestions, comments and opinions by the interested undertakings, drafts of two SERC basic documents are made available to the public:


The Draft Methodology for the Development of Tariffs for Distribution Services in the Brčko District BiH

that gives the basic elements for determination of the revenue requirement for a company that will perform distribution and supply activities on the territory of the Brčko District, that is, determines the basic structure of the future tariff system, and


The Draft Decision on Supply of Eligible Customers in the Brčko District BiH

that establishes the right of customers to freely choose an electricity supplier, regulates details and procedures related to customers going to the market, and defines the rights and obligations for suppliers in an open market.

Through the practice of public hearings the SERC improves the final solutions and evaluates the possible effects of its rules, procedures and decisions.

The draft documents may be obtained in the headquarters in Tuzla or downloaded from the SERC website (www.derk.ba).

Verbal and written comments can be presented at the public hearing, which will take place in Brčko, street Ulica Miroslava Krleže no 1, in the Directorate for Finance education room at the third floor (former Court building) on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 12:00. The hearing may be attended by all interested parties without any restrictions other than a restriction related to the duration for presenting of comments.
